| Fisherwomen are among the most hardworking - Fisherwomen from the coastal village in Thoothukudi (Tuticorin) deserve a special mention on International Women’s Day !! While 99 per cent of the 1.6 million fisherwomen in India are engaged in fish processing and marketing, these fisherwomen in Thoothukudi brave the sea and do fishing on their own.
